Katahdin Valley Health Center is committed to delivering a patient centered medical and dental home to the communities we serve. The Leadership Team recognizes the importance each team member plays in delivering high quality care. Our employee’s contribution and daily commitment to delivering our Mission and Values has been inspiring. KVHC is proud to recognize our employees who continually go above and beyond for our patients.
Tiffany Smith is KVHC’s Employee of the Month for September 2015!
With the loss of employees in the billing department Tiffany has worked hard to help keep claims and revenue flowing all while maintaining her own work load. Tiffany has taken on many responsibilities during the past year and has done so with a smile and a positive attitude. Her interactions with staff and patients are always positive and professional even while she is training new employees and assisting staff in other departments. Tiffany’s customer service is always exceptional. She is also studying and preparing (on her own time) to become a Certified Professional Coder. Tiffany is a quick learner, not afraid to ask questions and is always ready to learn new things in her efforts to become more proficient in the billing process.
Gretchen Murray is KVHC’s Employee of the Month for July 2015!
Gretchen has grown into her position since her employment at KVHC. She communicates with the clinical team and has good suggestions to help maintain workflow. She is always willing to help with a smile on her face and has been a big support for the nursing staff in expanding the C.N.A pilot project to other sites. Gretchen has changed assignments to assist with call in coverage, has traveled to other sites to assist with new C.N.A trainings, and continues to go to other sites as assigned to help finalize the C.N.A training process with her manager. She has become the “go-to” person in our C.N.A training.
Sue Preo is KVHC’s Employee of the Month for June 2015!
Sue is a dedicated referrals specialist. She diligently processes requests from providers and researches unusual requests thoroughly. The provider who nominated her recently stated “I can always count on her to get the job done efficiently and correctly. Further, she goes out of her way to make sure that patients follow up with their referrals”. Sue can be counted on to get the job done efficiently and correctly. She is very respectful when dealing with providers who may not always have completed their part immediately. Her cheerfulness and pleasant demeanor is appreciated by all who deal with her.
