We offer Primary Care Services In:  HoultonDover-Foxcroft

Katahdin Valley Health Center’s Occupational Medicine Team offers quality medical care and is highly experienced with workers compensation issues. Our focus is on returning employees to work, in collaboration with their employers. We offer both pre-employment testing and treatment of workplace injuries.

Our Occupational Medicine services include:

Treatment of Injury: Open for injuries on a no-appointment-necessary basis. Our medical providers are experts at treating work injuries and are highly experienced with workers compensation issues. Our focus is on returning employees to work, in collaboration with their employers.
Return-to-work Exams: We can provide return-to-work exams, fitness-for-duty exams, and second opinion exams on request. We utilize essential functions of the job to determine ability to return to work.
Pre-Employment Physicals: Physicals are tailored to meet an employer’s needs. After the examination and all test results are received and analyzed, results are immediately communicated by our providers.
DOT Physicals: The regulations and standards of the Department of Transportation are strictly followed by our providers.
HAZMAT Physicals: Physicals are performed in accordance with the Code of Federal Regulations for hazardous material workers.
Respiratory Compliance – Spirometry, Respiratory Clearance, Fit Testing: Our questionnaire and/or physical exam will insure workers are medically fit as required by the Code of Federal Regulations.
Audiometry – Hearing Conservation: We offer calibrated and approved audiometric testing as required by the federally mandated hearing conservation program.
Drug Screening: We provide various types of drug screens, collection and Medical Review Officer services to meet your needs and as required by National Institute on Drug Abuse regulation. The include urine, blood, and hair analysis.
Breath Alcohol Testing: We offer on-site Breath Alcohol Testing, performed in accordance with federal regulations.
KVHC accepts all patients and insurance types. We also accept MaineCare and uninsured patients.

KVHC Thanksgiving Closures

All Katahdin Valley Health Center clinics and pharmacies will be CLOSED on November 28-29th in observance of Thanksgiving, with the following exceptions:
 
  • Walk-In Care and the KVHC Pharmacy in Houlton and Dover-Foxcroft will be OPEN each day from 11am-7pm
